Liberty Alone

I’m in Chicago on Independence Day.
No matter what I think of the current state of US politics (not much) the original thirteen states were right to fight for independence from the British and in doing so they made one of the greatest blows for liberty against tyrrany ever.
Its a revolution which never turned to complete tyrrany, which is a rare thing, even if it never created a truly free society.
