Exaggerate and lie and get a Nobel Peace Prize
I am aghast that Al Gore has won a Nobel Peace Prize for his propaganda piece ‘An Inconvenient Truth’. This is a film which contradicts the best available science and exaggerates grossly.
Johan Norberg is not impressed especially given Gore’s admission of exaggerating the facts for propaganda reasons.
I believe it is appropriate to have an over-representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it [global warming] is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are

Gore’s film might not be particularly good, but I don’t think the judge used the word ‘grossly’. And compared to some of the material that is out there on global warming, from both sides, it is pretty good.
In any case he has not won the prize for the film, but for his whole campaigning effort.
Yes, perhaps it is a stretch to award a “peace” prize. Let’s hope someone wins the Noble Prize for economics or physics for a major contribution to the solution.

The way you introduce your Gore quote is really a bit shrill. One might almost say you were making the most of the available evidence to get your point across?
