The Great Repeal Act
I am pleased by this effort. I have long thought that something like this should be done.
This government has legislative diarrhoea, the solution to every problem is apparently to legislate, and increasingly poor, ill thought out legislation.
There is too much legislation, too many laws, too much regulation. It makes us more dependent on the state to guide us through, it wastes time and money. It discriminates against the poor who cannot afford to hire experts to guide them through the tangle of legislation.
It prevents people from making informed decisions, they don't know what the rules are, they are ever shifting.
This campaign should be part of a greater movement towards consistent, well thought out legislation which is simple and clear.
